The 26-year-old, who was named the Dutch club’s Player of the Year after grabbing 21 goals and 24 assists, has previously said it would be a ‘dream’ to play for Arsenal.Ziyech is free to leave this summer, according to Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars, and has a release clause of 25million.Other reported targets, albeit far more expensive, are Wilfried Zaha and Nicolas Pepe. Zaha is thought to have told Crystal Palace he wants to play Champions League football next season – and the Gunners could qualify for Europe’s elite club competition with victory over Chelsea in the Europa League final.However, the Eagles want 80million for their talisman, and Lille want a similar amount for Pepe, which is double Arsenal’s transfer budget for the summer.It means Emery must generate transfer funds by offloading some players – and it is understood he is planning a mass overhaul of his squad.Getty4
