Steve Gerrard had high praise for the youngster

Gerrard was in charge of Jones’ development last season before heading to Rangers, and was impressed with what he saw from the youngster.He said: “Im really pleased and proud of Curtis this season, for his effort and commitment to the team cause and he has added big numbers to his game.We will probably see Curtis more with the U23s now, and he has earned that.In terms of the day, for him its very special. Lets hope he goes from strength to strength now and he sees this as the beginning.

The Liverpool youngster was born on January 30, 2001.He’s just 17 and already knocking on the first-team door with his performances so far this summer.

When did he join Liverpool?

Jones was first signed up to the Reds academy for their under-9s team.His progression through the ranks saw him playing for both the u18s and u19s team, learning from Kop legend Gerrard.In February 2018 he put pen to paper on his first professional deal.
