Burnley’s first home game since they made their return to the top flight of English football following a 33-year absence came in excellent fashion against Manchester United.United had actually won the league the previous three years but could do nothing about Robbie Blake’s beautifully struck volley on a memorable night at Turf Moor.

But Burnley got back into the big league for the 2014/15 campaign and inflicted a 1-0 defeat on United’s rivals Manchester City, who won the 2013/14 Premier League title.George Boyd’s crisp strike secured the win for Dyche’s men, however, Burnley were unable to avoid relegation, finishing 19th that season.
6Burnley 1-0 Leicester City (January 2017)
